Training tip #8

This month tip is more of a behavior tip rather than training tip.

"A wagging tail" means that a dog it happy?  Nope.  A wagging tail can mean lots of things; one being that a dog is happy but there is much more to a wagging tail then just the wag.  The speed of a wag, what height the tail is being held at, what part is wagging and the individual dog of course.

I love wagging dogs; Elsa is a mad wagger, her tail is almost never still.  So when it is still I am always wondering why.  That is if she's not sleeping; but even then she often wags in her sleep.

Learn how your dog uses their tail in communication to other dogs, other people and you.
